#AWS - Installation #Installing Node.js. Serverless is a Node.js CLI tool so the first thing you need to do is to install Node.js on your machine. Go to the official Node.js website, download and follow the installation instructions to install Node.js on your local machine. Note: Serverless runs on Node v6 or higher. The AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a unified tool to manage your AWS services. With just one tool to download and configure, you can control multiple AWS services from the command line and automate them through scripts. The AWS CLI introduces a new set of simple file commands for efficient file transfers to and from Amazon S3.
Download the file using the
curl
command. The -o
option specifies the file name that the downloaded package is written to. In this example, the file is written to AWSCLIV2.pkg
in the current folder. Download Aws Cli Macos
curl 'https://awscli.amazonaws.com/AWSCLIV2.pkg' -o 'AWSCLIV2.pkg'
Download Aws Cli For Mac
Run the standard macOS
installer
program, specifying the downloaded .pkg
file as the source. Use the -pkg
parameter to specify the name of the package to install, and the -target /
parameter for which drive to install the package to. The files are installed to /usr/local/aws-cli
, and a symlink is automatically created in /usr/local/bin
. You must include sudo
on the command to grant write permissions to those folders. sudo installer -pkg AWSCLIV2.pkg -target /
aws --version
